Overview
One Zero Point, also known as the gateway to Sonmarg, is a mountain pass located in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. The pass is situated at an elevation of 3,480 metres (11,420 ft) above sea level and provides a link between the Kashmir Valley and the Ladakh Plateau.
The pass is located in the Zoji La mountain range and is approachable from both the Srinagar-Leh highway and the Kargil- Leh highway. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the region and is known for its scenic beauty and snow-capped mountains.
One Zero Point is also a popular trekking destination and there are a number of trekking routes that lead to the pass. The most popular trekking route is the Markha Valley Trek which starts from Leh and goes through the Markha Valley before reaching the pass.
